to rescue, rehome, and neuter dogs and cats in Europe and educate people about animal welfare.
We carry out sustainable and transparent animal welfare work in order to break the vicious cycle of killing stations and animal suffering in the long term.

We carry out large-scale neutering campaigns and educate the public about animal welfare at events and in schools. In order to break the vicious cycle in the long term, animal welfare must take place locally.

As a non-profit animal welfare organization, we consider it our duty to operate transparently and publish our income and expenses online here on our website. Every sponsor receives regular updates, photos, and videos of their sponsored animal on our social media channels, allowing them to see for themselves that their donation is making a difference.

Rescue operations by Hunderettung Europa e.V.
Help for dogs and cats in killing stations and from the streets
At Hunderettung Europa, our rescue operations focus on freeing dogs and cats from life-threatening situations, whether from overcrowded killing stations or from the streets of Romania. Conditions in killing stations are often cruel: animals live there without adequate care and under the constant threat of euthanasia. Life on the streets is dangerous, because many dogs and cats are exposed to hunger, disease, and violence.
Together with our Romanian partner animal shelter, we rescue them from these situations and ensure that they receive comprehensive medical care and the necessary support to recover from their ordeal. This careful care ensures that the animals are healthy and well prepared before they are placed in a new home.
